Just like fitness trends, technology is always changing. iPhones and Androids are becoming a normalcy. With thousands of applications to choose from, and probably hundreds of fitness apps, it’s hard to know which one to use. So what is best for you? It really depends on what you’re looking for. Many apps track your calories, and help you with food journaling if you’re trying to lose or maintain your weight. There are also apps that will give you workouts to keep your body in tip top shape.
- MyFitnessPal is a great app to use to count calories and to see your daily nutrition. MyFitnessPal will also track your steps (in later iPhone models.)
- 7 Minute Workout is a good app that gives you different workouts for all parts of the body. This is good if you only have a little bit of time to exercise.
- Lose It! Is another great app to count calories. You can sync your activity tracker with this app, as well as steps from your phone.
- Lastly another fitness app is 5K. If you’re starting to run to train for a 5K this is great app to use. This app will start and end with a 5 minute warm up and cool down, and vary in the middle between walking and running. Only 30 minutes, 3 times per week, for 8 weeks and you’ll be ready to run a 5K!
Out of the hundreds and thousands of apps just try some out and see what works best for your healthy lifestyle.
